OVF Alliance Job Opportunities

OVF Alliance is always seeking qualified coaches to join our staff. We have programs from 5 years old up to 18 years old with a variety of coaching opportunities in that range. Head coaches of competitive teams, assistant coaches for our pre-competitive and competitive teams, and coaches focused solely on assisting in camps, clinics, and other recreational programs we run.

Competitive Team Head Coach

Job Description

Head coaches lead and develop young athletes in a dynamic and competitive environment. The coach will be responsible for planning and executing training sessions, developing players' technical and tactical skills, and fostering teamwork and sportsmanship. The role involves coaching athletes during practices, games, and tournaments, while maintaining a positive, motivating, and fun atmosphere. The ideal candidate should have previous coaching experience, a strong understanding of soccer, and the ability to communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff. A commitment to the personal growth of players and a love for the game is essential.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants for the above position must:

  • Have (or obtain) a USSF 'Grassroots' License & work to obtain USSF 'D' License within next two years*
    *Exemptions to initial licensing requirement made for coaches with high-level playing experience (collegiate or professional)

  •  Believe in a holistic player development model & club-first focus

  • Be able to demonstrate knowledge of the game of soccer.

  •  Have good written and verbal skills and be able to communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff.

  • Have prior experience working with elementary, junior high, or high school aged children.

  • Pass a background check and complete a youth safety course. This position will require extensive contact with youth and minors as well as adults.
    ***Must be able to pass an OYSA background check and work legally in the United States.***

  • Be able to lift up to 30 pounds or heavier. Position will require lifting/moving goals, training gear, and other equipment. Be committed to youth development: A genuine passion for working with young players and helping them develop both their soccer skills and personal character is essential.

  • Hold at least a grassroots level coaching qualification (and be willing to pursue further education) as required by OYSA.

Pay

  • $500 - $1000/month per team based on experience, education, and expertise.

  • Options to receive additional pay for assisting other teams or programs that may need coaches throughout the year. 

  • The option to have any dependent's player fees covered (case by case basis).

  • Reimbursement for approved coaching education courses and certifications.

Program Coach

Job Description

Program coaches work for the Director of Programming to lead and develop young athletes in a dynamic, competitive, and fun environment. Coaches will be responsible for executing training sessions, developing players' technical and tactical skills, and fostering teamwork and sportsmanship. The role involves coaching athletes during practices while maintaining a positive, motivating, and fun atmosphere. The ideal candidate should have previous coaching experience, a strong understanding of soccer, and the ability to communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff. A commitment to the personal growth of players and a love for the game is essential.

Programs we offer include: Seasonal Camps focused on fun, Technical Clinics focused on player and skill development, a U8 Development program for kids just getting started with their soccer journey, and other Recreational Programs for all ages.

  • Options to receive additional pay for assisting other teams or programs that may need coaches throughout the year.
