Roberto Arteaga

Roberto has been at the club over four years where he has coached multiple age groups and provides training to goalkeepers. Originally from San Bernardino, CA, he transferred to Western Oregon University in 2016 and has stayed in the area ever since. At WOU, he began his coaching experience in 2017 co-coaching the newly founded WOU Women’s Club Soccer team and leading them to NWCSL Small School title in their second year of existence, while concurrently being the Goalkeeper Coach with the Central High School Boys program in 2018. Other coaching stops include the Blanchet High School Boys and Central High School Girls programs. He currently coaches the Central Linn High School Girls program, leading them to a first league title and first state final appearance in his first year this season. Roberto has over 20 years of playing experience, most notably playing CSL Premier League with Chivas Jr USA U-17 & U-19 age groups. Roberto currently holds a Goalkeeper Level 1 Diploma, and USSF Grassroots License. In his spare time he enjoys watching live sporting events or watching them at home.

Director of Analysis and Development
Ernesto Aguilar

Ernesto Aguilar is an experienced soccer coach with over three decades of playing experience and more than two decades of coaching experience. He has developed dozens of players for college and helped arrange tryouts for the professional levels; Ernesto has been blessed enough to work with US Youth National Team players and current MLS and USL players. Ernesto has led teams at Oregon Youth Soccer ODP, Santiam Christian HS, OVF Alliance, and OSU Men’s Club Soccer, achieving notable successes like an undefeated run at the 2024 ODP Far West Championships and a 2020 state finalist appearance. Holding a USSF B License, Director of Coaching Diploma, and multiple coaching awards, he also has administrative experience with Timbers U23 and Capital FC. Outside of coaching, Ernesto enjoys hiking, making art, and photography. Based in Corvallis, Oregon, he continues to mentor players at various competitive levels.

College Bound Coordinator
Logan Sanchez

Logan Sanchez returns to Oregon Valley Futbol Alliance (formerly TFA Willamette) after previously serving the club from 2014 to 2019 in several leadership roles, including Head Club Staff Coach, Juniors Director, and Coaching & Programs Director. His return reflects a long-standing connection to the club and the local soccer community, along with a commitment to building a strong, unified development environment.
A local product, Logan graduated from Corvallis High School in 2010 and was part of the 2009–10 OSAA 5A State Championship team. He went on to play collegiately at Concordia University Portland.
Logan later coached with Real Salt Lake Arizona, the official youth club affiliated with MLS team, Real Salt Lake, and the NWSL team, Utah Royals. In this role, he served as a Head Coach, DPL Head Coach, and Age Group Director within a professional academy environment, emphasizing long-term player development, accountability, and preparation for the next levels of the game.
He most recently served as an Assistant Coach for the men’s program at Park University Gilbert (AZ), where he helped guide the program to conference tournament appearances and contributed to the development of all-conference student-athletes, including a MLS SuperDraft selection.
Logan holds a USSF B License, earned the MLS Technical Leadership Certificate, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Sport Science from Oregon State University.

TOPSoccer Director
Salvador Maciel

Salvador Maciel has been coaching soccer for 10+ years and has been involved with the TOPSoccer program since he was 14, when his high school team would volunteer for his local TOPSocccer program. He is now coaching his own TOPSoccer program and head the Coach for the South Albany Redhawks Boys program. They also volunteer for TOPSoccer. With a deep love for the game, he is passionate about creating an inclusive environment where all players can develop their skills, confidence, and love for soccer. As a dedicated advocate for TOPSoccer, Salvador Maciel values the program’s ability to foster teamwork, joy, and opportunity for athletes of all abilities. Salvador's coaching philosophy focuses on skill-building, positivity, and fun, ensuring every player has the chance to thrive on and off the field.
