Goals from Abby Smith and Mya Fry earn OVF Alliance Women a point vs WPFC

Albany, Oregon: After having a few weeks off from playing and following some tough results at the beginning of their Cascadia Premier League season, the OVF Alliance Women earned a hard-fought draw against Washington Premier FC.

OVF were the first to get on the scoresheet, as Abby Smith scored early in the first half. Washington Premier FC managed to level the scoreline shortly after, which is where it stayed for the majority of the game. Both teams were evenly matched, as they each had chances and continued to push each other throughout the game.

OVF managed to retake the lead through the pace of Mya Fry, who scored in the second half to make the game 2-1 in favor of OVF. Washington Premier were able to get a goal of their own late in the second half, with the game ending even at 2-2. The Women have a quick turnaround, as they prepare to take on Vancouver Victory in the first round of the Oregon Women’s Open Cup this coming Wednesday, June 15th.
